Battlespace Command: The highly anticipated Land Warfare simulator
Five screenshots showcasing how Battlespace Command exploded on social media
Battlespace Command is large-scale real-time strategy and warfare simulation game depicting the full spectrum of modern combat across air, land, and sea. Battlefield can be modeled up to 6,250,000 km², and generated from real geographic data. They have urban environments and destructible terrain.
The developers needed to come up with a unique and versatile method that allows players to monitor both the strategic and tactical layers. The solution was to split the screen. The screen on the left allows players to interact with battle at the strategic layer, while the screen on the right displays the tactical battle.
Battlespace Command has over 250 playable units. These range from Tanks, IFVs, missile launchers, ships, submarines, UAVs, and a variety of aircraft that can all populate the battlefield, which can create a dynamic and chaotic mess. In order to assist the player, the developers included a wide array of rules of engagement (ROEs). Players can turn weapons systems on and off. They can dictate which targets to engage and at what range.
Battlespace Command explores small tactical battles in dense urban environments, which are fully destructible. This destruction adds to the wargames authenticity because as battle rage the battlefield will erode forcing players to shift tactics in real-time.
50+ nations are currently modeled in Battlespace Command and more are in development. This means players can explore both real world and hypothetical conflicts.
Players will be able to design, create, and upload their missions to steam. Battlespace Command comes with a scenario editor which allows players to design operations with full control over units, objectives, and battlefield conditions. The game will be releasing with full mod support.
Battlespace Command is set to be one of 2026s biggest wargame releases.
